I went to the Harbor View Grill as my last restaurant stop during a trip to Door County for Memorial Day weekend 2014. I was flip flopping between three and four stars. I went with three because the experience, while adequate, didn't wow me. I also thought it was a bit pricy. My husband got coffee, which he told me was excellent. We appreciated that they brewed a fresh pot for us when we walked in, as it was early afternoon and if they had anything left over from morning, it was likely stale by then. I had a gorgonzola-topped burger and my husband had a breakfast burger served with a fried egg on top. I had sweet potato fries, and he had regular fries. Not much else to say. Like I said, it was a satisfactory experience, but not unlike hundreds of other burger-eating experiences I've already had elsewhere. Plus, my fries were a little bit soggy and slightly cool, which is never good. The service was quick and the place was bright and clean. It was just a touch too generic for me to fall in love with it. Also, most of the burgers with fries are in the $11-$13 range, so lunch for two with tip (without drinks) could run about $30. Seems kind of high for such a casual place.

Love this place!! We hadn't been here yet, with the current owners, and we were really impressed. We stopped in for lunch and sat at a booth with a beautiful harbor view. I always think it would be ideal if this location had an outdoor deck, but the view was still awesome and the AC was nice too! Our group had the Pork Loin Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. All were served on really nice rolls and everyone was happy with their choices. Interesting beer choices added to the experience. They only serve beer and wine, so don't expect to order a cocktail. Our waitress was fantastic. Efficient, friendly and just really good at her job. I highly recommend you try this place out!! I would defiantly recommend this place!

We went here this past weekend and everything, I mean everything was delectable! We had the white fish cakes (WOW were they great!) and the rib eye with gorgonzola butter (Amazing flavor and done just right). The wait staff was responsive and the atmosphere is lovely, love the colors and the view of the harbor at sunset. Fabulous dining experience.

Beer bacon cheese soup is out if this world. Service was great too. Good food in egg harbor is sometimes hard to come by so this is a welcome addition. Head over to chocolate chicken for dessert next door.

Excellent! Lunch with our toddler and the grandparents. Cool and comfortable on a warm day. Toddler fruit was delivered to the table right away. I was impressed with the kids grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta roll - it was moist and seasoned well. The fries were fantastic! Adults enjoyed the spicy pita, hamburger, cherry bbq pork sandwich and DC cherry salad. 10 out of 10! We highly recommend supporting these locals.

Just had lunch here and was very hopeful. While the server was very nice, the kitchen was extremely slow. I understand small kitchens- I used to waitress in a small diner with a 4ft. grill. But that's not the problem here IMO. It's the kitchen staff that is slow. We came for lunch on Labor Day and the place was only 1/3 full. It took nearly an hour to get our food: cheeseburgers, grilled cheese sandwich, cherry salad, soup. Half our party of 7 had to leave so they ended up taking their food to go. The remaining 3 of us weren't too impressed. The homemade chicken rice soup was good. Burgers were Ok but fries were lukewarm and soggy. Sweet potato fries were the same. I'd probably be far more generous in my review if the prices weren't so high. Bacon cheeseburgers were 12.95. Soda was $2.95. For six adults and one kid meal (7 people) price was $97.45 plus they automatically added an 18% gratuity (17.54) then added tax for grand total of $121.32. Yowza. An expensive lunch. Great view of harbor and good location but at those prices I would expect much better food and timing. Based on the faces of other diners there, I'm probably not alone in this.

Fresh and clean restaurant that carries right over to the food. Great made to order burgers on chiabatta bread. Great fish tacos. Nice view of park and water. And it is a good value in ever more pricey Door County.

Stopped here for lunch based on yelp recommendations. View was fantastic and the service was great. The waiter was very nice and helpful. My wife tried a flat bread pizza and so did my girls. They liked it. I ordered fish taco. Just ok for me. I recommend this place.

We stopped by here after a day at the beach. Great view and great restaurant. Serving staff was great (we were waited on by the manager). Food came quickly and was prepared correctly. I was amazed they took our orders on an iPad!! The best part is it was lower in price compared to other restaurants in the vicinity. On your way out, there is even an ice cream parlor. The experience was so great we ate here twice over a week.

Agree with previous rater.. We arrived for the Friday night pan-fried perch dinner. It was outstanding-extremely fresh and accompanied by a delicious sauce, fresh green beans and a baked potato. Other potato choices were also available. The service was excellent as well and we will definitely go back!

Wonderful flatbread pizza. DC Cherry BBQ Chicken. The whitefish cakes were also amazing. That was so wonderful. Would highly advise the Gorgonzola dressing on a salad. Nice hot rolls and perfectly made French fries as well. Quality service on two occasions. So the biggest reason you should come here: THE BIG CHEESE BLOODY MARY.

This place lived up to it's high star rating. I had the margarita flat bread pizza that was perfectly done. My husband had the whitefish tacos with sweet potato fries. The fries were the best we have had in a long time. The view of the water may have been the best part. I would highly recommend this place.

Walked in and got "We're full" at 2pm. No waiting list, nothing. And there was 5 or 6 tables open. I've never that heard from a restaurant before.

Great place with a great view of the lake! We went for dinner and was approached with friendly customer service which I really appreciated. I ordered the portabella mushroom cap for dinner and it was served with a dark leafy green salad, bread & soup (substituted the soup instead of the potato). Food quality was good (carrots were a bit on the oily side) and price was reasonable for the amount of food I received (entrée was 13.95) but overall quality and experience was great! It was my first time in Egg Harbor and this resturant added to a memorable time here.

Very over priced! We went for lunch, their choices where limited because it was lunch time; We where fine with that but when we saw the menu we couldn't believe how pricey it was. We got cajun fries that weren't very Cajun, and a flat bread pizza that was fine. The view is nice but only maybe 3 stops have a good view. Over all the food just wasn't worth it.

Tried this again this year and enjoyed it even more, and we loved it last year! The Friday night pan fried perch was the best we have ever had in Door County, and we've been coming up here for almost 20 years. Very nice staff and beautiful atmosphere looking over the water and marina.

I was a little scared that this was just going to be a fish-fry place when we walked into the restaurant, because it smelled like cooking oil, but the food here was actually very good. I ordered the whitefish cakes (like a crab cake) and they were light and flaky and yet still stayed together nicely and didn't crumble when I touched it with my fork. The only thing that we noticed was that there was too much salad dressing on the salads. The service was really amazing. Our server was really sweet to my increasingly tired and crabby son. The view was really gorgeous, as well!
